The Land Rheinland-Pfalz has modified its support-programme for small and medium sized enterprises (Mittelstandsförderungsprogramm) from June 1st, 2011 onward. The programme is adjusted to the similar programme of the KfW Mittelstandsbank. 
There is now a specific programme for start-ups and for small and medium sized enterprises and professionals up to an age of 3 years: the Gründerkredit RLP. For investments, there are 3 currencies: a) max. 5 years with max. the first year without discharge, b) max. 10 years with max. 2 years without discharge at the beginning and c) max. 20 years with 3 years without discharge at the beginning. For working capital, there is a credit with a currency of max. 5 years with max the first year without discharge available.
Enterprises and professional which are more than 3 years on the market may get an Unternehmerkredit RLP. It contents the currencies like the Gründerkredit RLP and also a credit for working capital with a currency of 2 years and discharge only at the end of the time.
The credits are given by the Investitions- and Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz (ISB) GmbH, Mainz. But the application has to be done at the domestic bank of the interested person or firm. The credits are counted out 100 % and have to be ensured completely. They may cover the financial demand up to 100 %. There aren't uniformal rates of interest any more. The applicant will be classified by his domestic bank into one of 9 classes of risk.
